SPINA VERDE(GREEN THORNS)
This is the natural protected park situated high in the hills over the southern end of the city.
You can visit the park by taking a yellow bus, get off at the square in Camerlata and walk towards Baradello Hill. here there is a spectacular castle with a tower.
Climb to the top of the tower and you can see a full 360 degree view of Como city and the surrounding areas.
Follow the path to Respał, an archeological site where the digs revealed Pianvalle and the famous hill of Sant’ Eustachio with its iron cross overlooking the city.
The scenic walk ends in Prestino or San Fermo della Battaglia. There you can take the same yellow bus which will leave you back to Como.
